Meet the Editorial Team
Lauren Shin '19 is concentrating in Political Science. Lauren joined fashion@brown as the Editorial Photographer because of her passion towards documentary photography, photographing various events, and movements on campus. Joining fashion@brown has given her exciting exposure to the world of fashion photography, and Lauren tries to incorporate a photojournalistic style in her shoots. She has taken part in several shoot and is currently collaborating with Adam Malkin '19 and Clarice Brough '18 on the Closets@Brown series. Outside of f@b, Lauren like to take on her own photography projects relating to race, class, and gender, which you can find on her website laurenshin.com.
Rakan Aboneaaj '19 is concentrating in Economics and Middle Eastern Studies. He joined fashion@brown after a year spent traveling in the Middle East, Europe, and South America, where he was struck by the rich diversity of fashion. By working on the Editorial Team at F@B, Rakan hopes to explore the diverse cultural influences at work on Brown's campus, as well as in the Providence community as a whole. He is particularly interested in areas only recently included in the domain of fashion: streetwear, and the clothing people take pride in everyday.
Gwyneth Chen ‘20 is concentrating in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her love for personal expression through fashion has brought her to fashion@brown where she is excited to develop Captured in Frames, a column focussing on fashion in cinematography, photography, and thoughtography through various styles. In addition to her obsession with the Vogue websites, you can find her surfing the internet looking at men’s designer shoes, restaurants to visit, and planning her next exotic trip.
Caitlin Cleary ’20 is concentrating in History. She enjoys traveling, especially to warm destinations, going on bike trips, and writing. She also enjoys thrift shopping, and has been to many of the thrift shops in Providence. Caitlin joined fashion@brown as a contributing writer and is excited to write about current and historical trends in fashion. Outside of f@b, Caitlin is on the Brown Crew team.
Megan Evonsion ’20 is concentrating in Behavioral Decision Sciences, a new interdisciplinary study that fuses psychology, economics, and public policy. As a contributing writer for f@b, she looks forward to the opportunity to apply her interest in decision-making to a more creative field. Hailing from Alpharetta, Georgia, she has an appreciation for the variety of fashion found on College Hill. Above all, Megan hopes that her work for f@b will help to encourage a more mindful and ethical approach to establishing one's personal style. When she's not studying in the Rock basement or sneaking into the Keeney gym, she enjoys planning events for ADOCH and Innovation for Health as well as serving as a Peer-Mental-Health-Advocate with Project LETs.
Gabriela Keiderling '20 is concentrating in English Nonfiction, with a particular interest in creative nonfiction. She was inspired to join fashion@brown after a summer of interning in New York and Los Angeles, doing celebrity styling and fashion writing. f@b is Gabriela's way of bringing her passion for fashion and design to the Brown campus.
